The inaugural Summer Festival lived up to its billing on Saturday night, delivering a spectacular show that exceeded expectations.
The well attended gig featured top acts including Jah Prayzah, Feli Nandi, Holy Ten, Master H and Takura. The five acts gave fans their money’s worth and organisers, Four Links Entertainment, who hosted such big event for the first time feel they nailed it.
“We were a bit sceptical since this was our first time hosting big artists but at the end the fans came in their numbers and the show got lit.
“From here we can only aim higher,” said one of Four Links Entertainment directors, Comment Mupoga.
Templeman and Merciless were trusted to provide cover in-between the acts.
Jah Prayzah’s inclusion at the inaugural event proved to be crucial with the superstar’s stage antics producing a memorable outing.
Clad in all-white, like always, the Jerusarema hit-maker produced a vibrant celebration.
Holy Ten, who courted controversy recently after he fell off the stage while drunk at the Harare Cup Clash, gave a vintage show.
The talented rapper, performed with finesse and his stage communication made him a darling with fans.
He wasn’t booed or hissed when he stepped on stage this time, he came prepared for the event and his vocals were on point.
Holy Ten performed sing-along-tracks such as Madhafela, Pressure and Banga sending the crowd into a frenzy.
The Gamu hit-maker also announced during his set that he will be dropping his album on October 7. This will be five days before fellow hip hop star, Saintfloew drops his second project.
Music critics feel Holy Ten’s announcement carry a significant weight and will put pressure on Saintfloew.
It was also a good day for lady of the moment, Feli Nandi, who put up an entertaining set.
She belted songs such as Mufudzi Wemombe, Unotyei, Mubayei, Murume Mutema among others.
