TAEKWONDO TEAM HAULS 41 MEDALS IN SA

ZIMBABWE International Taekwondo team managed to win 41 medals at the South Africa National Taekwondo Championship Tournament to be held at Pinnacle College in Johannesburg on Saturday.

The 24-member team returned home on Sunday with Delvin Brown, Jordan Brown and Samuel Chitepo winning three awards each.

Delvin had two gold medals and a silver medal as Jordan went to the podium for two silver medals and a single bronze.

Chitepo on the other hand brought home two gold medals and a bronze medal.

The team had 10 gold medals, 16 silver and 15 bronze medals.

Zimbabwe International Taekwondo Academy coach Evan Brown, who travelled with the team, was happy with the medals and said they are looking forward to taking part in more international tournaments.

“We are happy that we managed to win 41 medals at this year’s tournament in South Africa. We travelled safely and we look forward to more international tournaments.

“The parents were supportive and I am grateful for that,” said Brown
