I AM not sure if politics is a healthy diet for young boys and girls. My guess is that so long as it is not political bones and tough meat which may damage their political milk teeth, politics may be consumed in very small portions, preferably in liquid form to make sure it will not choke them.
Tinashe Mvuwayi is not new on this students’ column. He was here a year or two with me when he was in Form 5 at a school just outside the city centre. He was studying History and English Literature. He sat his A-Level exams in 2012 and passed very well with 11 points. History is all past political stories, is it not? And Literature an exploration of real life!
Today the 22 year-old boy who calls himself a political thinker is awaiting going to university in January 2015, according to him most likely somewhere in the Middle East or Ghana to study Industrial Relations. He would like to say hello and give special thanks to Sheik Mustafa Mujtaba Karindo, his philosophy mentor and friend, Political Science student Kudzai Chokuenda at Midlands State University. Tinashe wants to share his political thinking with the public. Here we go: I am not sure if it is contemporary history or Practical Criticism. Could be a bit of both! He writes:
SINISTER FOREIGN POLICY OF USA
It is not only Napoleon who faced his demise at Waterloo. In similar fashion I visualise the inevitable dilapidation of United States with its diabolical political hegemony. To note some of this country’s checks and balances, its foreign dominance characterised by divide and rule policy has led to the vaporisation of national and cultural identity amongst Middle East countries.
When is the world going to protest and say NO to American exploitative and destructive conquest? They have a justified reason to suffer the consequences of their stupidity in creating many enemies which in turn invited terrorist invasions in their own land.
Osama Bin Ladin, who was the Wahabi student, received American special military training in a bid to subdue Russian forces in Afghanistan. In turn Osama in the pretext of false Jihadism instigated the 11 September 2001 terrorist attack. Accordingly the verdict that the Moslem world must bear responsibility is a preposterous lie. The event itself, namely the killing of innocent civilians, does not qualify to be Jihadist.
American propaganda must be revised. Why did Osama rebel against them? It is not justice to condemn Osama. According to Aristotle there is no cause without effect. He was the man who witnessed the day-to-day atrocities which Americans committed against his fellow country men. His only failure, according to Mujtaba Mulari Savi, was he wielded vengeance on himself instead of presenting it to God in defence of his country.
When they assassinated Abraham Lincoln, J. F. Kennedy, Martin Luther King, Malcolm X and many black nationalists, no one interfered up to this day in American political business. I vehemently sense a nation which was born to kill, created through a revolution, but suppressing worldly revolutions up to this day because they understand the prowess of revolting. That is why they summoned Iraq under Saddam Hussein backed by Kuwait and Saudi Arabia to attack Iran so as to sabotage the Iranian revolution which was a vivid and undeniable intention to quench the spirit of nationalism bent on reviving the Shah dynasty.
