IN a surprise move, AmaSungura and TrapSu founding artist, Tanto Wavie, has revealed he is switching gears and pursuing a career in gospel music.

Tanto Wavie is known for his innovative approach to blending different genres and his music has been a staple diet on the secular music scene for years.

However, Tanto Wavie says he has been getting a calling to use his talent to spread a message of hope and inspiration through gospel music.

“Wanikwe 2025 is a new chapter. I’m done with secular music, I’ve given my life to Christ. Gospel only from now on. Watch.”

In an interview with H-Metro, he said,

“I have  always been drawn to music that uplifts and inspires because as I grew older, I began to feel a sense of purpose and responsibility to use my platform to share a message of love and redemption.”

To mark his transition to the gospel, Tanto Wavie is set to release his debut gospel EP titled “Xari Magitare”, today.

“I’m excited to bring a fresh sound to the gospel genre. My music has always been about pushing boundaries and exploring new sounds and I’m confident that my gospel music will be no exception.”
