MANICA Diamonds coach Jairos Tapera says he never had a wrangle with Kuda Mahachi and the player remains on the payroll of the Gem Boys.

Reports have indicated in recent days that the Gem Boys terminated their relationship with the former Warriors forward.

But, Tapera said this was not the case.

“I think there comes a time we should not mess around with people’s lives or careers.

“I’m really confused about what people want to achieve.

“I have never quarelled with Mahachi (Kuda). I think some people are bent on destroying other people’s careers.”

Mahachi joined Manica Diamonds in February after parting ways with Ghanaian side FC Medeama, where his contract was terminated after poor performances.

Mahachi, who previously turned out for Mamelodi Sundowns, Orlando Pirates, Golden Arrows and SuperSport United in South Africa, is battling to make an impact at the Gems Boys. Their next game is against Chicken Inn at Luveve.

The Gamecocks lost 0-2 at ZPC Kariba.

“We let ourselves down defensively against ZPC Kariba. We need to pick ourselves up for the game against Manica Diamonds,” said Chicken Inn coach Joey Antipas.
