It’s as good as it gets, say road workers

GOVERNMENT has been commended for changing the lives of many people who have found jobs in the construction and rehabilitation exercise of major roads around the country.

H-Metro yesterday talked to a number of workers, who are part of this massive exercise, which is changing the face of the country.

One of the workers, Nevison Nechivava, 27, hailed the Government for investing in the refurbishment of the road network and construction of new roads.

“We would like to thank President Mnangagwa and the government for creating employment for us.

“Maintenance of roads has been keeping us busy and our families are happy with food on the table.

“Besides employment, the Government has changed our infrastructure and it is being brought to the standard that makes one feel very proud.

“Ungenge uchatsikwa mumugwagwa ichizvitora selfie chero paAirport chaipo, zvavekudadisa.

“Kana iriyo SADC yadariso, aiwa zvaendwa, tararamiswa.”

He added:

“It is our prayer that drivers respect the sanctity of life when on these refurbished roads.

“Yave Zimbabwe necarpet.”

A number of people are involved in the massive exercise which is changing the face of the country.
