TASHINGA Primary School in Mabvuku held a very successful career day for its students.
The event brought together a diversity of stakeholders from the public and private sector to provide learners with a clear insight into different professions.
Different professionals were present during the event and they included doctors, fire officers, nurses, Zimbabwe National Army officers, chefs, lawyers, engineers and pastors.
The event allowed students to listen to different professionals as they talked about their careers.

The school deputy headmistress, Shorai Kabaira, said the event was a success.
“This is an exciting day where you all get to learn about the many diverse fulfilling career paths available to you. As you start to think about your future, it’s important to explore the wide range of opportunities out there and find a career that aligns with your interests, skills and values.
“Remember, there is no one ‘right’ career path. Each of you has unique talents and aspirations. The key is to keep an open mind, work hard and find something that you are truly passionate about. Whether you want to be a teacher, pilot, lawyer or a computer programmer — the possibilities are endless.

“To the organisations, ladies and gentlemen, we are thrilled and honoured to have such a wonderful and diverse group of organisations represented here today. Your presence is a testament to your commitment to nurturing the next generation of leaders, innovators and economic change makers.”
She added:
“At Tashinga Primary School, we firmly believe that exposing our students to the vast array of career paths available to them is a crucial part of their educational journey.
“It is our goal to empower them to dream big, explore their passions and envision the endless possibilities that lie ahead.
“Each organisation brings a unique perspective and set of experiences that will undoubtedly inspire and inform our students.

“I extend my sincere gratitude for taking your precious time to be here and share your experiences and expertise. Your determination, willingness and zeal to invest in our students’ futures is truly commendable, and we are grateful for your partnership.
“It is undoubtedly believed that you appreciate that organisations like Tashinga, and many others, are your source of future human resource and that it is the determinant to the future success of your organisations.
“That appreciation gave birth to our theme of the day ‘Catch Them Young: Human Capital Development, a Priority to Economic Development.’
“Together let us embark on a journey of discovery and inspiration, as we cultivate the next generation of leaders who will shape the world we live in.”
