Taya puts Zim fashion on the map

HELLO there folks, how are you doing this week? I am trying to stay as fashionable as possible this summer, which is turning out to be the busiest time of the year for me.

This week, I have news from our very own Zimbabwean designer, Tayamika whom I interviewed a couple of weeks ago. I was so proud of Taya for putting Zimbabwe fashion on the map. Her designs did not disappoint.

Taya stated after the show…… “I am very pleased and humbled by the positive response I have received from the collection. It was well received and I am grateful.”

Taya put up a great show at the London Fashion Week and here are her designs to prove it.

I am pleased to say I walked away with an ensemble or two and I am on top of the world. My heart bleeds with the fact that our Zimbabwean designers have to go oversees to get recognition and ironically it is the designers from other African countries who have their designs being showcased in our shops.

I long for the day when we will walk down the road and see the designer of the outfit we are wearing.

That is it from me this week folks, join me next week as we continue to showcase the latest in our stores and our very own designers. Until next week, God bless.
