Teen maid abuses minor

employer’s four-year-old son to be intimate with her.
The 15-year-old girl was convicted on her own plea of guilty to aggravated indecent assault before Chitungwiza regional magistrate Mr Never Katiyo on Wednesday.

The girl had the court in stitches when she blamed her conduct on a movie she was watching for arousing her sexual desire. In sentencing, Mr Katiyo took into account the maid’s age and lack of guidance after she lost both parents.

Mr Katiyo, however, said aggravated indecent assault was a serious offence equated to rape.
“If you were an adult, there was never going to be any alternative other than a prison term,” said Mr Katiyo.

“Sex is privacy that it is always done by adults who are mature, rather than you exposing the young boy to such acts.”
As a school dropout, the girl went through the vetting process and the investigating officer confirmed that she should be send to a rehabilitation centre in Murambinda for counselling. Prosecutor Ms Joice Fusire told the court that on October 28 this year, the boy’s mother went to attend a funeral service in Chihota leaving her son with the maid. The maid switched on the television and started watching a movie which had actors romancing leading her to quench her sexual desire on the boy.

On October 30 at 5pm, the boy went to her aunt’s place claiming that he wanted to sleep there.
The following morning, the aunt woke the boy to prepare him for school and noticed that the boy had bruises. The boy narrated everything to her aunt who informed his mother.
The boy’s mother reported the abuse to the police leading to the maid’s arrest.
