adminNcube lied to the court that he is still going to school, but failed to name the school he is attending. He left the court gallery in laughter when he claimed to be doing Form Three extra lessons at Beatrice. This left Mr Jarabini with the option of a custodial sentence.
Mr Jarabini slapped him with a six-month jail term but conditionally set aside three months for the next five years. Another one month was suspended on condition he restitutes Taruvinga Dhina (54) of Killet farm in Beatrice of US$44. The restitution shall be payable at the end of this month. Agreed facts were that on October 5 and at the farm, Ncube hatched a plot with his accomplice still at large to steal from Dhina. Dhina reportedly left his premises on a night duty since he is employed as a security guard. The duo proceeded to the farm and on arrival they broke into the house. They took a pair of shoes, 2kg of sugar, flour, a satchel and a school uniform before disappearing. Ncube was later arrested after the police recovered the stolen uniform worn by his young brother.
