Harare police spokesperson Inspector Tedious Chibanda said the body had two deep cuts on the right and left sides above the ears.
“We are treating it as a suspected murder case,” he said.
Inspector Chibanda said the girl was wearing a yellow and brown dress and a pink track suit jacket.
“Her hair was plaited and she wore pink make-up,” he said.
“We are appealing to anyone who is missing a relative fitting the description to approach any nearest police station.”
The body was taken to Harare Central Hospital mortuary.
