A SECTION of Samora Machel Avenue between Sam Nujoma and Simon Muzenda streets will be temporarily closed today to facilitate rehearsals for the official opening of the 2023 legal year.

In a public notice, the Harare City Council said motorists who use the targeted roads should seek alternative routes.

“The proposed temporary road closure is to allow for the rehearsal and official opening of the 2023 legal year by Honourable Chief Justice of Zimbabwe Luke Malaba,” the acting Town Clerk Phakamile Moyo said.

“The road will be closed today from 9am to 2pm and on Monday from 9am to 2pm.

“Motorists will be recommended to use alternative routes given by recommended informative signs and as directed by enforcement agents on site.”
