GOSPEL artiste Freeman Ngwarati popularly known as The General from Sigola area in Matabeleland South province has released another gospel single titled Baba Ngiyabonga, a thanksgiving offering that reflects on the importance of gratitude.

Last month, Ngwarati released a track titled Umusa which was set to encourage people to keep on trusting God in different circumstances.

In an interview, Ngwarati stated that the inspiration behind releasing the song are the different predicaments that different people went through in 2023.

“The previous year was tough for a number of people, there were different challenges like accidents, deaths, diseases and a number of difficult situations that people encountered. These different situations inspired me to write a song that was set out to help people reflect and be grateful for the strength to overcome these challenges,” said Ngwarati.

He said that the key message in the song is of gratitude and a lesson for a number of people to appreciate the lives that they have.

“The key message in this song is based on gratitude and this is because in most cases people ask God a lot of questions on why they are going through a number of difficulties and forget that it is God that gives them courage to face them,” said Ngwarawati.

He highlighted that he is set to release an album this year and conduct programmes to equip other gospel artists.

“This year my main goal is to grow and release more tracks. I am currently working on an album that will be launched later this year and l will also be involved in various programmes to equip aspiring gospel artists,” said Ngwarati.
