Rising drill artiste Tatenda Luke, known by his stage name Trevor Gevha, is making his mark on Zimbabwe’s music scene, driven by the ambition to gain nationwide and international recognition.

Recently, Gevha released an EP titled Avatar EP, showcasing a blend of drill, hip-hop, and Afro-beats.

The Avatar EP features tracks, “Freaky One,” “Freaky Two,” “Maximum”, “Paghetto Party” and the title track. Through his manager Tafadzwa Kelvin Gapare, also known as Flossy, Gevha shared that his musical inspiration comes from Voltz JT, an artiste known for his unique beat-making style.

“Voltz JT is my inspiration and the reason I pursued my passion for music. My dream is to become one of the most iconic artistes, not just in Africa but globally,” said Trevor Gevha.

With around 23 projects under his belt, Gevha is working on an Afro-beat project, where he hopes to collaborate with singer Natasha Muz. While he remains humble about his expectations for this year, his primary goal is to be heard across Zimbabwe.
