THINGS seem to be falling apart for Mutare outfit, Manica Diamonds, who lost yesterday’s Castle Lager Premiership match against Herentals at Sakubva Stadium by a solitary goal.

The Gem Boys have long forgotten how it feels to win a match after failing to win a single encounter since their forgettable 1-4 drubbing at the hands of Simba Bhora almost three months ago.

In yesterday’s match, early minutes of the encounter saw both teams showing too much respect for each other, hence being too cautious in attack.

It was Manica Diamonds who then created a clear cut scoring opportunity in the eighth minute when neat exchanges on the left culminated into a fine David Chipo cross that fell into Manica Diamonds’ DRC expatriate, Tshipamba Babadi whose effort was blocked by Herentals FC defender, Joseph Chitavira.

The visitors broke the deadlock in the 51st minute when overlapping defender, Eric Dombo rose head and shoulder above the Manica Diamonds rearguard to head home a beautiful cross from Lot Chiunga.
