ZIMBABWEAN professional golfer, Scott Vincent, made his third cut in a row, at the Bridgestone Open, where he finished the second round, tied on fifth place.

The in-form golfer, fresh from winning his second tournament a fortnight ago, made it into the weekend business rounds.

Vincent will tee off today’s third round alongside the Japanese pair of Ryutaro Nagano and Tsubasa Ukita.

After winning the Week 28 ANA Open, Vincent, who is affectionately known as “Mhondoro,” has been in good touch.

He finished tied for 14th place, at the Panasonic Open, in Week 39, and came fifth, at last week’s Vantelin Tokai Classic.

The Bridgestone Open has 23-year-old rookie, Naoyuki Kataoka, top of the leaderboard. He produced a flaweles show with a career best 63.

Meanwhile, the Zimbabwe Golf Association will host their annual  meeting at Royal Harare this afternoon, with the vice president’s post, up for grabs.

Martin Chikwanha will come in unopposed, to replace Mufaro Chiwoniwoni, who is stepping down, after serving two years.

For the vice-president post, Munodawafa Mutopo, is looking forward to retain his post.

He will battle it out with Midlands Golf Union president Stalin Masiya and Chapman’s Justice Udzimbwe.
