All is set for the sixth anniversary celebrations of SOD entertainment which coincide with its president Juen Kachuwa’s birthday.

The celebrations, which will be held for three days starting today will be conducted in Mutare at Club Barcode and Musangano Lodge. Speaking to Herald Entertainment, Kachuwa said the party will see the launch of their website.

“We started the preparations a month ago hence we decided to have three-day celebrations as we have a programme with many activities.

Friday we will have a VIP cocktail with my birthday celebrations, while on Saturday we host shows with different artistes and we close with a braai session on Sunday.

We will use the opportunity to launch our website www.sodentzim.com,” he said.

He said guest appearances include disc jockeys and some local celebrities.

“We have invited DJ Smiley, DJ Anthony, DJ CC Exclusive from Trace TV, Roki, the permanent secretary in the Ministry of Youth, Indigenisation and Economic Empowerment George Magosvongwe, Merciless Zimbabwe, Dj Noma from Star Fm, Trigger, Denzel Madzova and Ammara Brown among others.

Our party budget is around US$ 4 000 and we are happy that some of the logistics are already in place. Some of the team members went earlier and we are ready to go,” he said.

“We have engaged renowned Trace TV DJ, CC Exclusive, and our award winning artist Rhymes Assasin.

In a bid to give back to the community and empowering youths though music we have embarked on a move that will see popular and upcoming artists recording a mixtape,” he said.

Kachuwa said during this three day celebrations they will be giving a platform for all prospective artists to come with their music samples and sign ups with the organisation.

“We greatly thank Mutare for their undying support and as a town that I was born we are here to revive the entertainment industry to match that of Harare and Bulawayo.

We have channelled resources for this event,” he said.
