Three Nyanga women up for assault

Three Nyanga women have been arrested after police launched investigations into a video circulating on social media in which they were seen attacking another woman who was holding a baby.


The trio were accusing the victim of having an affair with one of the suspects’ husbands.
The three have since appeared in court and were remanded out of custody pending trial.
Police arrested the trio on Monday after the video of the assault went viral on social media.
Deputy national police spokesperson, Assistant Commissioner Blessmore Chishaka confirmed the arrests and said investigations are in progress.
Assistant Commissioner Chishaka said: “The ZRP reiterates that the public must exercise self-restraint when they get into disputes with any member of society. Communities are implored to find peaceful ways of resolving their disputes.”
