When it opened its doors three years ago, few would have predicted that Eden Night Club would go on to define and dominate the club scene in Bulawayo for as long as it has.
After all, Bulawayo has acquired a reputation for its high turnover of clubs, with many nightspots fizzling out after a year or less in existence.
The word among lovers of the nightlife is that fatigue catches up with revellers, as they dona��t hesitate to search for new places when they feel like they have a�?used upa�? a joint.
With such a scenario, many of the clubs in Bulawayo have opened at the same venues where old ones have folded, as they seek to do what their predecessors failed to do and have a lasting impact on the City of Kingsa�� ever changing nightlife.
Many have tried and many have ended up with egg on their face.
This is the situation that confronted the owners of Eden Night Club when it opened its doors a few months before the festive season of 2013.
Three years later, the joint has become an undeniable landmark whose buzz is heard and felt by anyone who fancies a great night out.
Although it is in the up-market bracket, located as it is at Ascot Racecourse, the joint attracts nightlife lovers from all over Bulawayo, with visiting celebrities and socialites all making it their joint of choice. While the youthful have taken a liking to it, it still attracts the older generation who dona��t mind mingling with younger party goers.
Such is the lure of the club which in its three years is yet to witness any serious violence trouble on its dance floors.
Perhaps the power of the joint is most notable during the festive season, where locals and those visiting flock to its dance floors during fun December nights. Now with another festive season looming, the joint does not seem in any mood to slow down. .
