A FAMILY feud turned fatal in Chiweshe after Takudzwa Chirunga (24) was arrested for allegedly killing his uncle in cold blood near Makwachimba River.
The body of Mailosi Chirunga (54) was discovered in a chilling state – seated, tied to a tree, with a red cloth gagging his mouth and nose, according to a police statement on X. Villagers were left shaken, some saying the scene looked like a ritual setup.
Police swooped in on the suspect on 18 April, hours after the body was discovered. While the motive remains unclear, insiders hint at deep-rooted tension between the two men.
Investigations are ongoing as police piece together what led to the silent slaying by the riverbank.
