His voice is unmistakable and his music moving. Nyasha Timbe has without doubt become the emerging voice on local radio. The 23-year old hit the right codes with his debut single “Zvaramba” that has turned him into an overnight success. It is rare for a musician to pop from the blue and become a household name. Through his first attempt in music, Timbe has done just that.
In “Zvaramba” the musician narrates an unfortunate ordeal in his life where a long distance relationship turned sour.
Confusion, sadness and uncertainty make up the sad love song but it seems his sorrows have been turned into fortunes.
The feeling has gotten the best of us at certain points in life and it is easy to see why the youngster is enjoying multiple spins on local radio.
One radio disc jockey has described the sound of the Marondera-bred artiste as the future of Zimbabwean music.
“The song is taken off my upcoming debut album, “From the Heart”.
It is a real life story about a three year-old relationship of mine that ended abruptly.
“I had so many questions and was not sure where I went wrong so I put it all in a song,” said Timbe in an interview with The Herald Entertainment.
Interesting revelations came out as it turned out that he is also a promising producer who has worked with big names like Taurai Mandebvu, Dadza D, Cindy Munyavi and Trevor Dongo.
“I wrote the song and produced it myself from home.
“I was not expecting it would be this popular and I am very pleased,” he said.
His forthcoming album will carry at least eight songs that the producer-cum musician promises to be equally engaging.
