JUDE BELLINGHAM revealed the painful extent of his shoulder injury woes – and shared a graphic video of his surgery.
The Real Madrid and England star, 22, went under the knife to fix the ongoing dislocating issue last July after pushing back the operation for three years.
Bellingham played with a brace under his shirt and even starred for the Three Lions at two major tournaments while managing the problem.
The midfielder explained he first dislocated his left shoulder while playing for Borussia Dortmund at the start of the 2022-23 season but did not want surgery to rule him out of the World Cup that winter.
He said: “I was really worried about everything that could go wrong, really. It’s the most anxious I’ve been about anything, the hardest feeling I’ve had before something.
“It’s the instability of knowing that if I land funny, it can always come out.
“The thing I’m most looking forward to is being able to play without a brace again.
“I just couldn’t risk the timeline with the 2022 World Cup. We pushed off and pushed off and held off.”
He admitted in hindsight he should have had the surgery after the Euros but delayed it again – only for the weakened shoulder to pop out again at the start of 2024-25 for the third season running. – The Sun
