DANCEHALL Greatest Records founder, producer and musician, Robert Tondoya popularly known as Tony D has dropped two new singles titled Amai and Shaina as Christmas presents for his fans and will launch them on Sunday.
He will officially launch them this Sunday at his Morningside house where an avalanche of local dancehall musicians such as Maskiri, Juicer Mpostori, MK47, Young Pee, Flexxo and renowned wheel spinners in Mutare are expected to perform.
The song Amai is a dedication to his beloved mum (Maseline) who has stood as an guardian angel for his two sons following the tragic death of his wife last year while the gem Shaina is a piece of admiration for ZIFA Northern Region soccer outfit Ngezi Platinum which had a roller-coaster season after winning the Yadar Challenge Cup.
The singles were produced by Dr Clarence.
Tondoya, who was born and bred in the sprawling suburb of Dangamvura, recently released three new videos for Maoko mudenga, Tazozvigona and Reverse Deal shot on high definition.
The songs are causing a stir on You Tube and other social networks.
Tondoya, who is a Bsc Hons Geography and Environmental Studies at Midland State University, is a Safety Health Environment and Quality Officer at Zimplats and boasts of over 40 songs to his discography.
He will also stage live performances alongside sidekick Young Pee in Chegutu on December 26.
The talented chanter, who has made great strides in establishing and retaining a base in the dancehall fraternity in Mutare and beyond, has joined Winky Dee and Sniper Storm among other mature dancehall artistes in taking music to another level.
He is a social commentator whose lyrical bias in love and relationships has captured even the neutrals hearts is carving his promising music industry with charm and uniqueness.
Chimoko, Taxi Driver, Nguva yasvika and Never Doubt are some of Tony Dee’s hottest tracks.
