Tour championships tourney on

Tendayi Gwatiringa, the Zambezi Tour marketing and communications director, said they were happy to see the tour resuming.
“It is pleasing to report that the local professional golf tour resumes to action at the end of this week,” said Gwatiringa. A new event on the calendar, The Tour

Championship, will be played over two rounds, that is 36 holes at Country Club in Highlands.
“The Zambezi Tour will sponsor the tournament.

“Entries for the event closed last Friday and the prize money will be US$10 000. This is a new event on the Zambezi Tour calendar, and in future it will be held annually towards the end of the season.” In-form Brian Gondo, who won the last tour event, remains the one to beat. Gondo managed two top-five finishes in the Mashwede Open Classic and the Hillside Masters before winning the Open Classic at Chapman last month.
