A GERMAN tourist collapsed and died while on a game drive in Hwange National Park.
Zimbabwe Parks and Wildlife Authority spokesperson, Tinashe Farawo, confirmed the incident, which occurred last week on Tuesday.
“We can confirm that there is an incident where a 63-year-old German tourist collapsed and died in Hwange National Park while on a game drive,” he said.
“Our preliminary investigations have shown that the tourist was on medication for heart complications.”
The tourist was in the company of other tourists from Germany, when the incident occurred.
Last year, another German tourist, who went missing at Matusadonha National Park, was found alive, three days later.
