Continuing their remarkable season of success, Bulawayo’s celebrated traditional dance outfit, Ezimnyama Arts Ensemble, has been nominated for the Creative Artist of the Year accolade alongside musician Sisa Senkosi at the GoodNews For Life Global Awards, set to be held in the United Kingdom in August this year.
The nomination marks the group’s first major international recognition since entering the creative industry, adding another milestone to their growing list of achievements.
“This is an incredible milestone for us because it marks the first global recognition we have received since beginning our journey in the creative industry. We’re deeply grateful for this nomination as it means so much to the group,” said a representative from the group, Phibion Ncube.
They added that while they have previously won accolades such as National Arts Merit Awards and Bulawayo Arts Awards, being nominated for an international award is particularly special and significant for them.
“It’s encouraging to see our efforts being recognised on the global stage. This recognition makes us proud and motivates us to continue working hard in pursuit of more international opportunities like this one.”
Created as a platform to celebrate global talent, the GoodNews For Life Excellence Awards is a stage where global talent across multiple categories, such as Arts, Business, Lifestyle, and Leadership, is recognised and nominated to stand a chance to win an award.
