Triangle coach Mangombe in Sakubva midnight juju drama

CASTLE Lager Premiership outfit, Triangle coach, Genesis Mangombe, together with a member of his backroom staff were assaulted by Manica Diamonds marshals after they were caught performing rituals at Sakubva Stadium in the dead of the night yesterday.

Acting Manicaland provincial police spokesperson, Assistant Inspector Wiseman Chinyoka confirmed the arrest of two individuals in connection with the scuffle.

Assistant Inspector Chinyoka told Post Sport that the complaints, who only had seemingly minor visible bruises, were referred to hospital for medical examination.

Post Sport gathered that Mangombe and his workmate were caught with small pebbles (miteuro), red and black clothing material as well as an assortment of suspected juju paraphernalia when they were manhandled.

The midnight juju drama occured ahead of the two teams’ Chibuku Super Cup showdown at the same venue today.

The match starts at 2pm.
