A 30-year-old Mathematics extra lessons teacher and his two female students allegedly accessed and revised a ZIMSEC November 2014 Mathematics Replacement question paper 2 before the examination. The self employed teacher, Ngonidzashe Mhakayakora, resides at number 3223, Tynwald North in Harare.

The students are Rumbidzai Muchingami (19), an external student at Oxford International College and Vanessa Mukosera (16). The trio is facing charges of contravening section 35 (a) of the Zimbabwe School Examination Council Act 1914. But the trial failed to kick-off because the presiding magistrate Mr Batanai Madzingira was not present.

Magistrate Mr Elijah Makomo postponed the matter to May 27.

The complainant in the matter is the Zimbabwe School Examination Council represented by its assistant security officer Mr Lee Banda. The prosecutor Mr Progress Maringamoyo alleges the matter came to light when the college director Mr David Musindo carried out routine checks and found Muchingami in possession of questions and answers written on a piece of paper which had similar questions to the exam.
