Dendera musician Tryson Chimbetu will for the first time stage a family show in Avondale at The Avon Restaurant on Sunday. The young musician, who has been keeping low over the past few months, is expected to give his best as he performs at the upmarket place.
He will be supported by jazz musician Myrah Dube.
Chimbetu said he was geared up for the event and people should expect fireworks at the show.
“This is my first time to perform at the venue and we have prepared to give our fans the best,” he said.
Chimbetu, who was last week blessed with a baby boy that he named after his father Naison, said he would celebrate with his fans.
“I am now a family man and that has changed my understanding of family shows.
“Our fans should come and have fun as we celebrate the birth of my first born,” he said.
Tryson has a number of songs that managed to steal the hearts of many dendera fans.
Though his career has been marred by controversy, the musician was quoted last week saying he has changed his attitude.
He has albums such as “Bvamuroad”, “Nguya YaChimbetu”, “Marxist Revival” and “Compass”.
Songs like “Pahotera”, “Ambi”, “Ndondo” and “Mombe” are popular among his fans.
Organisers of the event said they were happy to be hosting the musician for the first time.
Peter Moyo was the first musician to perform at the venue.
