Mr Gwaze was last week severely assaulted at Harvest House for driving and parking his car that had a Zanu-PF logo despite the fact that the names of the assailants are known.
Sources in the party said Mr Gwaze has not been coming to work from the time he was assaulted by the party youths fearing for his life. He was, however, spotted at Harvest House during the party’s national council meeting yesterday.

“Mr Gwaze parked his car at a bay reserved for the party president. That was the first thing that raised eyebrows for the youths. They, however, left him to park. What irked them is a discovery that the vehicle had a Zanu-PF logo,” said a source at Harvest House.
This enraged the youths who assaulted Mr Gwaze before deflating the car’s tyres.
It is alleged that the youths had vowed to deal with Mr Gwaze who has responded by not coming to work. Mr Gwaze is a full time employee of the MDC-T stationed at its headquarters.
It is suspected that no action has been taken against the youths as Mr Gwaze is linked to a senior party official who wields influence while the youths are linked to another rival senior party official.
Mr Gwaze declined comment when approached by The Herald.
