the launch of his 59th album tonight at the Harare International Conference Centre.
The album, titled “Rudaviro”, was due for release last year but was put on ice after Mtukudzi or simply Tuku to his adoring fans chose to release “Cheziya” by his late son Sam.
The late Sam Mtukudzi died in a car crash in Harare and was buried side by side his with childhood friend Owen Chimhare at Warren Hills Cemetery.
The death threw Tuku into mourning and he was forced to suspend his annual birthday celebrations to this year where he is expected to throw a big party.
“Rudaviro” is expected to hit record stores today while tickets to the gig will be available at the venue.
Shepherd Mutamba, Tuku’s publicist, could neither deny nor confirm the album launch.
He, however, promised a big surprise at the gig tonight and urged fans to attend in their numbers.
