Music superstar Oliver Mtukudzi and Winky D are set to feature in the popular comedy “Bag Rabvaruka Season 4”. The duo will join the likes of Alick Macheso, Suluman Chimbetu, Jah Prayzah and Peter Moyo who were featured in the previous series.
The upcoming series due for release in August explores various issues about day-to-day lives of the people. Last year Winky D failed to make it for the shoot due to other commitments. Producer of the comedy Lloyd Kurima popularly known as Mabla 10 said they would include Mtukudzi, Shinsoman and Winky D.
“It was unfortunate that Winky D could not be part of the cast last year because he had some shows in South Africa the week we were shooting but this time around they will be all available,” he said.
Mabla 10 said the upcoming production will be better than the previous ones. “Mtukudzi takes the role of a younger brother to Sekuru Zvambu while Winky D will be preaching the gospel of peace. In a nutshell that’s what is in store but I don’t want to pre-empt everything,” he said.
Mabla 10 hopes the new series will take him to another level as well as win him awards. Besides writing and directing the comedies, Mabla 10 also starred in numerous street theatre and television productions.
The former Glen View High 1 School student has released four productions including “Bag Remhosva”, “Vamwe Vanhu” and “Bag Rabvaruka” 1, 2 and 3.
