Turnall Holdings managing director resigns

LISTED roofing and building products manufacturer, Turnall Holdings Limited’s managing director, Mr John Piniel Mkushi is resigning from his position effective August 1, 2024, with Mr Ian Bagshaw taking over.

In a statement, the company said Mr Mkushi who was the managing director and then chairman of the company 20 years ago rejoined Turnall in 2022 to lead the company through a period of recovery and renewal.

“His successor has now been identified and the company is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Ian Bagshaw as the managing director of the company effective 1st of August 2024. Mr Mkushi has agreed to remain with Turnall on a consultancy basis, to assist Mr Bagshaw during the handover period,” read part of the statement.

Turnall Holdings said Mr Bagshaw is a professional engineer and holds a BSc in Mining Engineering and a Higher National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.

It is also said he has had many years of experience in the manufacturing industry in Zimbabwe and overseas, while prior to this appointment, he was the Business Improvement Manager at Dallaglio Investments.

“He has worked in several companies in Zimbabwe including Sandvik Mining and Construction where he served as managing director. The board would like to record its appreciation to Mr Mkushi for his prodigious efforts and to extend a warm welcome to Mr Bagshaw at this pivotal time in the company’s history,” added the company.
