TWALUMBA United coach Wilson Mutekede says they are not losing sleep over the loss of players this transfer window because it is a sign they are doing well in grooming talent. The World Navi Northern Region Division One side lost three of their senior players — Elisha Muroiwa to Dynamos, Bright Chayambuka to Black Rhinos and Efinot Kamunda who is out injured.
Twalumba have now remained with players below the age of 20.
“We are happy for the players who will have progressed to a bigger challenge because as a club we are used to losing players.
“Our project is aimed at promoting young talent and ensuring they get a platform to showcase their talent so we always wish all those who move forward well.
“This also gives some young players an opportunity to prove themselves so it is a blessing in disguise for them.
“We have lost Muroiwa and Chayambuka who were senior players but we are happy that now our oldest player is 20 years, which is in line with our mandate.
“Our aim now is to remain in the league and continue to promote talent,” said Mutekede.
The Highfield side are sitting third-from-bottom of the table going into this week’s midseason break.
