TWELVE-YEAR-OLD Muriel Mine Primary school pupil PraiseGod Nyamulepa is thankful to all well-wishers who made it possible for her to be part of the Confederation of African Athletics African Junior Athletics Championships (COSSASA) in Zambia.
The event, which started on April 29, will end tomorrow.
She booked her ticket after coming tops in the 100 meters race during the National Association of Primary Heads (NAPH) Athletic Competitions in Alaska, Chinhoyi.
She praised everyone who contributed for her to make the trip.“I want to thank God for everyone who contributed to this journey.
“I also want to thank Zimbabweans for their support and the success of my trip to Zambia.
“I pay tribute to my school teachers and mother for the encouraging support.
“I also want to thank my church for praying for me and everyone’s prayer is going to help me to achieve something,” she said.
Her mother, Hellen Mlumbe, is also thankful for the support shown to her daughter.
“I want to thank Zimbabweans for sponsoring my daughter to go to Zambia.
“God bless you for the support, and it’s my prayer for PraiseGod to be the best.
“The Muriel Mine people have love and their support is huge. “Let’s keep raising the country’s flag high, wherever we go and whatever we do.
“We pray she performs to the best of her ability.”
The National Athletics Association of Zimbabwe (NAAZ) shortlisted 60 athletes for COSSASA.
