TWO boys died after a drowning incident while playing in a shallow pool in Norton on Tuesday.

The two, who were Grade Four students at Vimbai Primary School, were playing in a muddy pool near a small farm when the tragedy struck.

A witness said the boys failed to swim across the muddy pool.

“These boys were just playing in the muddy waters but failed to get out when they reached a deep end. There were four and only two managed to swim out of the water.

“The survivors came out screaming and when help came it was too late for the other two who had already died,” they said.
