WEIRD things never cease to happen!
Picture this: two men busted having sex against the order of nature.
Wonder no more, this was at play when two men from Bulawayo were caught red-handed having anal sex at a building in the central business district.
The two men, Themba Nyoni (36) from Magwegwe and Mswazi Tshabalala (33) from Njube were busted by a security guard who was manning a building situated at the corner of Leopold Takawira Street and Josiah Tongogara Avenue.
The guard also called a passer by to witness the shocking incident. Circumstances are that on January 15, 2025, at around 2am, the security guard was on duty when he saw Nyoni and Tshabalala lying on top of each other at the ground entrance of his workplace.
The security guard reportedly went closer and noticed that both men had their trousers and underwear pulled down to their knees.
The shocked security guard, instead of confronting them, sought out a passer by. Upon their return, they found the two men still engaged in anal intercourse.
The security guard then rushed to the Bulawayo Central Police Station to file a report. Police officers reportedly responded quickly and arrested the two men.
The two men have since appeared before Bulawayo magistrate Abednico Ndebele, facing sodomy charges.
They both pleaded not guilty and were remanded to February 28, 2025, for continuation of their trial.
In their defence, they claimed they were simply sleeping and that “nothing had happened”, stating they often slept there when it was late.
During his testimony, the security guard stated that while patrolling around 2am, he found the two accused persons engaged in anal sexual intercourse.
“Tshabalala was lying on his stomach, his trousers pulled down, while Nyoni was on top of him, performing the sexual act,” he said.
“I was standing about three metres away from them. There were lights, and it was clear. I went and called a nearby person, and we both witnessed them in the act. We then went to report to the police station,” the security guard testified.
One of the police officers who attended the scene testified that she received a report from the informant (the security guard), who was accompanied by another person, stating they had witnessed two men engaging in anal sex.
The police officer said they proceeded to the scene with the informants and five other colleagues. Upon approaching the location, the second informant reportedly exited the vehicle, expressing fear of being victimised by the accused.
“We arrived at the scene and found Tshabalala still lying on his stomach, and Nyoni lying on his right side, facing him. They were lying close to each other, and we woke them up,” she stated.
She further stated that they noticed Nyoni woke up immediately, while Tshabalala took a long time to awaken, as if he was intoxicated.
