A source told the New York Post newspaper: “Tyra has gone away with a female friend and has been island-hopping, visiting Bali and taking a spiritual retreat.”
Tyra, 38, first met John, 50, in 2007 but the pair only publicly revealed they were a couple a year later. In the wake of the separation, the banker was reportedly spotted last Thursday with a Russian model at New York night spot, Catch.
News of the couple’s split comes as a shock as earlier this year Tyra admitted she wanted to have a baby.
The former supermodel said: “I definitely want babies.”
However, she admitted to talk show host Piers Morgan she didn’t think she needed to get married before she got pregnant. She added: “I don’t think getting married is necessarily necessary.” —Bangshowbiz.
