“My first two albums Chibvuma done in 2007 and Sanganai Nesu, my 2009 production, both recorded at True Vine could not hit the market due to financial challenges and lack of a strong marketing drive but the progress of the latest is making me think of re-marketing them.
“Munoshamisa has 10 tracks namely Handidzokere Shure, Munoshamisa, Wandifira, Ponesa Mweya, Ngandione, Sasindiswa, Nyasha Dzenyu, Hakuna Zita, Tsitsi Hedzi and Ngandione (instrumental) and has done well,” said Shumbamhini.
Chibvuma had eight tracks Aiwa Jehovah Makanaka, Chibvuma, Mudziyo, Handina Mufaro, Ndimi Jesu, Arise and Shine, Chibvuma (instrumental) and Handina Mufaro (instrumental).
Sanganai Nesu had Sanganai Nesu, Jesu Mandiri, Love of Christ, Ishe Jesu (instrumental), Sanganai Nesu (instrumental), and Mwari Samasimba.
“I started singing in 2007 when I went to Glad Tidings Fellowship in Gweru though I was not in the church choir. My talent was in poetry and I later transformed some of poems into songs.
“My future is bright and I can tell you we are already rehearsing for the fourth album which will be an eight track album.
“The backing group, The Burning Heart, has Trust Yokoniya on vocals, lead and acoustic and has worked with Madiz, Angie Chikwerure and Abisha Makombe. We also have Tese Sandra Madzvanyise and Shylet Dahwa on vocals,” said Shumbamhini. He draws inspiration from Pastor Charles Charamba’s Tinashe Akatendeka and South African music.
Shumbamhini was born on 18 May in 1984 at Chinhoyi Hospital in a family of two girls and two boys.
