TZ ready to host ITF junior circuit

The tournament is scheduled to start on July 30 with the first leg ending on August 4 and the second leg is pencilled for August 6 to 11.
Bhunu said they are now making the final touches to their preparations.
“Most of the things are in place now. We have been fundraising and we have received some money from well-wishers and we are in a position to host the event.
“We needed US$6 000 on our part because we are getting a grant from the International Tennis Federation.
“We are just hosting the ITF team and the rest of the players will cater for their expenses,” said Bhunu.
However, Bhunu said it was unfortunate that most local players do not have rankings and they would have to go through the qualifiers.
The tournament is expected to feature some of the best junior players from around the world with participants coming from such countries like Australia, India, Italy, France, Egypt, Russia and South Africa.
