GIFTED singer Pah Chihera, who flew back into the country this week from a six-week international tour of the UK and Dubai, has described her tour as successful and “worthwhile”.
Chihera, whose real name is Pamhidzai Tracy Mbirimi, staged various shows in London, Coventry and Manchester in the UK before staging a family show in Jebel Ali beach in Dubai.
The 23-year-old songstress will be back in the UK for another series of shows on November 28 and 29. This time she will be accompanied by uncle and talented musician Prince Musarurwa, who did backing vocals on the hit Runonzi Rudo and other songs on her maiden album.
Chihera recently scooped the Zimbabwe Women Award in the UK. Locally she is yet to scoop any accolade.
“My tour was exceptionally amazing as it gave me the platform to showcase my talent to the world. It was a great experience mixing and mingling with different groups of people, learning various cultural etiquettes. I felt honoured when I received the Zimbabwean Women Award in the UK. It’s quite inspiring and gives me courage to go on. These tours come with their own share of pressure but I have managed to stand strong. I would like to thank our fans for supporting my music,” she said.
The gifted composer said she has finished working on her second album which is due for release in November.
