United leadership for bodybuilders

Association (ZBBFA), have finally decided to put their differences aside and form a single federation.
Shammim Hussein was elected the president of the federation while Kenny Murungweni becomes the vice-president (development) and Godfrey Nyoni is vice-president (administration).

Claude Shambare is secretary-general and Otis Goredema will be his deputy while Prince Mugeyi becomes the treasurer. Precious Mujuru and Givemore Marume were elected committee members.
Sports Commission official, Angela Nyaundi, hailed the move by the factions to have one body.

“The position to have bodybuilding and weightlifting activities run separately had been reached at international level so Zimbabwe has to do the same. The Sports Commission has therefore resolved to put in place an interim body to manage and work towards the registration of the association,” she said.

Hussein said he was happy with the confidence invested in him and pledged to work hard.
“I thank you all for the faith you showed in me to be your interim president. I promise I will work hard to get the sport to another level. I hope we will all have unity of purpose, team spirit and good performance,” Hussein said.
