THE University of Zimbabwe will this year double its intake as the institution aims to accommodate the growing number of students interested at studying at the country’s oldest university.
UZ director of information and public relations Mr Daniel Chihombori said on Friday the university will this year have two intakes — 22 February and 22 August respectively — noting that this will see them accommodating more students as compared to previous semesters. He added that additional facilities had been built to accommodate new students.
“The University of Zimbabwe is happy to inform prospective first year students that the institution will have two intakes of first year students in 2016. The University further wishes to advise returning students that following the February 2016 first year student admission process, the 2nd semester of the 2015/2016 academic year will now commence 22 February 2016. The registration exercise planned for Monday 25 to Friday 29 January remains unchanged,” said Mr Chihombori. — Sunday News Reporter
