Upcoming gospel artist ready for bumpy ride

UPCOMING gospel artist Luke Chirau says he will not give up despite the challenges he is facing in his career.

The 31-year-old described his musical career as bumpy but he has managed to keep pursuing his dream. In an interview with H-Metro, at the just-ended Zimbabwe Agricultural Show, Luke said he has faced a lot of challenges since he started recording in 2020.

His inspiration for music comes from Charles Charamba and other gospel artists.

He said he released an album in July this year, titled Parizvino Ndoda Kufamba Najesu, which is doing well.

“I was inspired by Charles Charamba and my passion of being a preacher played a huge role in my career. I have always admired the way Charles Charamba does his music, the way he preaches and the love he has whenever he is doing God’s work.

“My biggest challenge is money to buy instruments. Whenever I want to record it becomes a challenge,” he said.
