He said that the Pentagon may also use new tactical thinking known as Air-Sea Battle in a possible military conflict with Iran.
Carlisle said the tactics focus on operating in multiple domains, from air and sea to space and cyberspace. The tactic also uses networking and integrating information from the different areas, like satellites and sensors on stealth fighters and unmanned aircraft.
He said that the tactic was developed to circumvent Iran’s significant defences.
The United States, Israel, and some of their allies accuse Iran of pursuing military objectives in its nuclear energy programme, with Washington and Tel Aviv using this
pretext to threaten Iran with a military option.
