“The academic and professional training of Zimbabwe’s human resources remains a priority of the ministry of Higher and Tertiary Education and Government,” he said.

He hailed the collaboration between the Government and the private sector in developing skilled personnel to the industry.

“My ministry acknowledges with satisfaction the close collaboration and co-operation between Government and Industry and Commerce in training and developing skilled personnel,” he said.

The institutions which benefited from Zimdef are Danhiko Project Development (US$50 000), Mupfure Self Help (US$85 000), St Peter’s Kubatana (US$50 000), Zimbabwe College of Music (US$30 000), Magreta Hugo School of the Blind (US$30 000), Chancellors of Zimbabwe State University Staff Games (US$20 000) and Zimbabwe Aviation Training Centre (US$40 000).
