They both pleaded not guilty to rape charges. Tamburika indicated in his defence outline that he was not caught being intimate with the minor hence he is innocent.
Mr Ncube remanded the two brothers to tomorrow on US$20 bail each.
Mr Ncube ordered the pair to continue residing at their given address and not interfere with State witnesses until the matter is finalised.
Prosecutor Mr Tafara Mboho alleged that Tamburika proposed love to the girl when he was herding cattle together with the girl in Zengeza Village in Uzumba.
The two brothers and the minor are neighbours. Tamburika became intimate with the minor every time he saw her. Tamburika’s young brother Matthew proposed love to the girl behind his brother’s back.
Unbeknown to his elder brother Matthew also became intimate with the same girl.
The minor’s sister caught Matthew being intimate with the girl and alerted their mother. After being questioned, the girl revealed everything to her mother.
A police report was made leading to the arrest of the pair.
