It is four days before lovers celebrate Valentine’s Day.
Although the day set aside to celebrate love has a lot of connotations, already, there are events lined up this month catering for the feat.
Media house, Eternity Productions in partnership with Population Services for Health (PSH), will be hosting a pre-Valentine dinner tomorrow at the Golden Conifer in Harare.
The event dubbed “Love shouldn’t hurt”, will see urban grooves, soul musician Trevor Dongo headlining the show joined by Zimdancehall singer Winky D and hip-hop artiste Holy Ten, among others.

In an interview, event organiser, Chipo Mangwayana, said all was set for the themed event, which will also see some of the local celebrities attending.
“The campaign ‘Love shouldn’t hurt’ was initiated in 2021 with an objective to spread love and stop domestic violence,” she said.
“This initiative has been joined together with Trevor Dongo’s campaign of wanting to work with the girl-child, especially in Murehwa, and as such he has engaged the PSH to host the pre-Valentine dinner in order to raise funds for this project, as well as have influencers help disseminate the word on stopping violence in relationships.”
“People are expected to dress up for the occasion as it is a red carpet affair, obviously we will have our fashion police,” she said. “Some of the guests include Madam Boss, gospel power couple the Charambas and the Chivasas, among others.
“Artistes behind this campaign who are also making the line up include Zimdancehall star Winky and Holy Ten.”
Trevor Dongo said he was excited about this initiative and will also use his music to publicise the campaign.
“I am excited to see my vision of reaching out to the girl child in my rural home (Murehwa) come to light,” he said. “This initiative will not just end with various supplies for a month or two, but my vision is to create a self-sustaining project that will see these girls covered for the foreseeable future.
“I am grateful to PSH, Eternity Productions, Ceevee events amongst other partners who assisted me in making this dream come true, not forgetting my fellow brothers in the sector Winky D and Holy Ten.
The event will be hosted by radio personality Shingai Mokina affectionately known as DJ Mox and Noxy “Divine Diva”.
