adminand Blessing Timbe (24) recently appeared before Harare magistrate Mr Morgan Nemadire facing rape charges.
The 17-year-old girl was Nhem-achena’s girlfriend.
Mr Nemadire granted the two US$100 bail each.
Appearing for the State, Mr Michael Reza alleged that on September 12 this year, Nhemachena picked the teenage girl from their house in Marlborough.
It is alleged he took her to Timbe’s house after passing through Mabelreign shops where they bought a bottle of wine.
The trio, the State says, started drinking beer while sitting in the lounge.
After hours of drinking, Nhema-chena allegedly dropped the teenager at Mabelreign shops before proceeding to college.
After being dropped at Mabelreign, the girl is alleged to have gone back to Timbe’s house on the pretext that she had forgotten her keys in Nhemache-na’s car.
When she went back to the house, Timbe is said to have taken the girl into the bedroom to rest since she was drunk and dizzy.
Timbe allegedly raped the girl while she slept, it is alleged.
When Nhemachena returned, the girl asked to be taken home but he told her that she was still drunk. He allegedly proceeded to rape the girl.
After the act, the court heard Nhemachena dressed the girl and drove her home.
The girl is alleged to have told her mother about the rape and a police report was made leading to the arrest of the pair.
