adminA 59-YEAR-OLD, bodybuilder, Masiye Sawali is breaking barriers and raising the bar after confirming his participation in the Southern Region Championship preliminary competition set for April 29.
The event will be hosted at Zimbabwe College of Music.
At least 10 categories will be contested for at this competition.
Sawali will participate in the Bodybuilding Masters category, which is for those who are 50 and over.
Suwali is being sponsored by RM Plumbing World.
He hailed the owner of this company, Robson Muromba, for believing in him.
Suwali credited his instructor, Lionel Mawoyo, for keeping him in shape.
“I’m looking forward to making a mark in this competition and my wish is to win this competition.
“That’s the only way I can repay those who are supporting me, particularly my sponsor, who has stood by me in my ups and downs.
“I’m very confident of winning this competition because I have invested enough energy in preparing for this event,” said Suwali.
Suwali is the reigning Mr Mufakose Master after scooping the prize last year.
He also took home the Fitness Physics Masters the same year.
Besides his interest in lifting weights, he has also featured in the country’s most watched drama series like Tiriparwendo, answering to the name Churu and Tunga, playing the role of the king.
